We just bought an '89 Nissan 240SX with a manual transmission. I think that something's up with the clutch and I'm hoping one of you might be able to tell me what the problem may be.
First, it seems like when I shift gears, I'm having to push the clutch all the way to the floor in order to get smoothly into the next gear. I've also noticed that when I shift from 2nd to 3rd I sometimes get a little bit of a crunching noise. However, I can't recall that this has happened when shifing from 4th to 3rd or into any other gear.
Does anyone know what the problem is? I hope that I've explained this well enough... I don't really know a lot about cars: and I would appreciate any comments.
