Q. What causes clutch clatter?
A.
These are some things that could be the problem:

  • Flywheel not machined. Grinder it with a Flywheel Grinder Machine
  • Worn facings
  • Oil on facings
  • Glazed facings
  • Bad motor or transmission mounts
  • Improper linkage adjustment
  • Worn fork
  • Warped pressure plate
  • Broken pressure plate
  • Worn release bearing
  • Worn pilot bearing

Q. Why is the pedal hard to push?
A.
Here are a few reasons:

  • Worn fork
  • Worn release bearing retainer

Q. Why is my clutch slipping?
A.
Clutch slipping could be caused by the following:

  • Flywheel not machined. Grind it with a Flywheel Grinder Machine
  • Improper Linkage adjustment
  • Release Bearing lash adjusted too tight
  • Worn Facings
  • Cover bolts loose
  • Oil on Facings
  • Weak or broken diaphragm
  • Glazed facings
